Bagel Bird Feeder

What you'll need:

Bird food,Bagel,Peanut Butter and string
What to do:

Put peanut butter all over bagel, even on the sides.( I did this pretty thick)
After the bagel is covered in peanut butter start adding the bird seed
I put the bird seed in a bowl and droped my bagel in the bowl and then flipped it
to the other side for even coverage.

I then tied a string through the hole and hung on my bird feeder out side

Easy as pie. Now get out there and feed them birdies.

This is also a nice project to do with the kids.

Spring time with the Spinnati's

Spring time... I like spring, but it does come with it's downfalls. One like, you know, rain. We've had massive amounts of rain this spring.  Rain is good though. My lawn looks amazingly green. Which is my favorite color.

When it's not raining, we try to get outside. Braxton is enjoying his new sandbox and the slide that his Nanner's gave him. We have a blue buggy that he enjoys when we take our evening walks. A few pictures below. (Okay, it's more then a few)

I love his chubby feet.

Chong is his Best friend (our 7 year old pekingese)
Braxton loves his daddy.

I follow Enjoying the small thing's blog. She is amazing at photography. Especially the pictures she takes of her children.  She makes me want to go out and spend a fortune on a new camera in hopes of getting pictures like the ones she has taken. I acquired a nice camera from my Mother in Law( who also is into photography, and in the process of starting her business) . I just don't know how to use it properly.  I think I'll read the manual, and start my savings for one of those Nikon D90's.

Cheers to you and spring, cheers to me learning how to take better photo's

Dress to Impress

Photo from People.com

Photo from People.com

Pippa the maid of honor in the royal wedding had the most amazing dress.
I for one have not really been paying much attention to the royal wedding, but it's on every news station and on every website, so I kinda had to take a peek and.......
Wow, this dress is absolutely gorgeous. I want to get married again ( to Bret of course) and wear this dress. Classic. Beautiful. Stunning.

Everything Sock Monkey

This post is a little late. These are pictures from my son's 1st birthday party. The theme was sock monkeys. I was totally obsessed with everything sock monkey for about 4 months when planning his party. I scoured every website that even mentioned sock monkey. I couldn't believe how hard to was to find sock monkey party supplies unless you had someone make them for you. I turned to ETSY.COM and found a couple of wonderful vendors that supplied me with some great sock monkey merchandise.

Happy 1st birthday Braxton. (Jan 30th 2011)

Inspiration

I am constantly looking for inspiration. I am the type of person who is always gun ho' on an idea, and then it fizzles out. I for once in my life want to start and complete something from start to finish.

I read La Buena Vida's blog and she recently completed a 5k. I was inspired to do one myself after reading her story. I signed up for my first 5K in July so there is plenty of time to train. I also downloaded an application on my Droid C2K5 (Couch to 5K) to help me get started. I also recruited  my brothers and my sister to join in and keep me motivated.

Thanks Meredith for the inspiration.

What has inspired you recently?

Slim Fast & 30 Day Shred

I started the 3.2.1 Slim Fast diet yesterday. I do admit the shakes aren't that bad, and the meal bars I really like. I however at the end of the day felt hungry, but I wont give in. I also joined a website called my fitness pal. It allows you to track your calories through out the day, which I love.

Last Thursday I started Jillian Michael's 30 day shred. I missed Friday and Saturday workouts do to family functions but I was back at it Sunday and Monday and I plan to keep it up daily.

I started the Jillian Michael's 30 day shred way back in 2010 after my son was born and did it maybe twice. I had a hard time sticking to it, and between a fussy baby and the pure exhaustion of being a new mommy, I just wasn't cut out for it then. I have decided this time will be different. I want to stick to this program. I only want to lose about 15-20 pounds and hopefully by summer I am at least somewhere near my goal. I am trying to be realistic though and I know if I can keep a somewhat healthy diet and workout a few times a week there will be changes. I have always felt like if I don't see instant changes, then why bother!? I changed my point of view and ready to give it another go.

I have been eyeballing the beach body Brazil butt lift program, but its expensive. I told my self if I can get through the 30 day shred and really give it 100% then I will BUY the butt lift program. I am excited for this new journey.

It's been awhile....and I'm Back

I orginally started this blog, before my son was born in 2010. Motherhood set in and I couldn't find time for anything other then him. A year has come and gone, and here I am. Trying to get back into the swing of life and get back into some of the things that catch my interest.

I am a stay at home mother and a funeral directors wife. We own 2 spoiled pekingese dogs. We live in the suburbs of Cincinnati, and travel a lot to visit families. My husband enjoys car, especially fast ones, and I enjoy pretty much anything that cost money,  Both of our families live two hours away. His is Wapakoneta, mine in Columbus.

We both want more children, (okay, maybe only one more) but for now we are still figuring this whole marriage and babies while trying to juggle his work hours and how to survive in this economy. We Love our family and here I am to tell you about it.
